An area of low pressure will move into the region on Saturday bringing the chance for rain, but it appears it will hold off until late in the day. The majority of the day will be mostly cloudy and mild. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s closer to the start and push into the 50s during the race. Highs should reach the mid 50s by the afternoon.

The best chance for rain will be closer to the evening hours as the cold frontal boundary enters the region. Expect a wet Saturday night along with gusty winds. Winds during the race, however, will be relatively light out of the south around 5 to 10 mph. You can see in the image above which is the forecast at 8am that rain will still be well to the west closer to D.C.

Recommendations:

I would go with shorts and a t-shirt for this race with temperatures in the 50s through the day. Don’t forget your body glide and good luck out there!
